There hasn't been the number of people out training around the island, that I am sure of and again I am putting it down to this great weather we are having!
I have even read some of my old blog from last year to try to get some inspiration and try to find out where I was in my training and what problems that I was encountering which was mainly feet related!
Have a look at my old blog if you are looking for any more motivation if this blog isn't inspiring you enough.
I have reached way over 1000 page views which is just awesome thanks, I promise I will get back to training and blogging properly within the next couple of weeks.
These next couple of weeks to be fair brings being busy at work, probably little time to get out training but hopefully I can get a few miles in, plus it will be my last big blow out a week on Saturday at a certain rugby match. Following this trip I will be giving up the booze for a month with a view to shedding a few pounds.
The application form for the Sara Killey Walk has been released. This is a great event and a way of seeing how your training is going for the Parish. 50km (31miles ish!) and goes between Peel and Ramsey following the Parish route through Jurby, Bride and Andreas. This year the date is set for Sunday 21st April 2013. This is the same date as this years London Marathon, if you are not entering this or supporting anyone in London then you should definitely sign up to the Sara Killey or get on the streets and cheer people along. The Sara Killey Walk is a fab event and last year the weather was great, lets just hope that we start getting some half decent weather in the coming weeks.
Last week on Thursday was the first time I had been out with my training partner and fellow Parish finisher, it was the best day of the week, the weather was fresh, dry, no wind and very pleasant to be out and about.
We did a quick blast round Sulby just under four miles and it seemed to fly by as we were nattering and catching up with the skeet.
The mileage amount for the week ended up at a grand total of 10miles! Not great but at least Im getting out. This week will be different with work commitments.
Its good to see that I'm not the only one struggling to get out training, fellow blogger Paul has stated that he hasn't been out training because of life, please read his blog and support him also. Just log onto Parishwalk.com and go into blogs, there you will find Pauls and Davids blogs, worth a read!
I thought I would treat you to two positive quotes this week as I need them too!!!!!
