Its a Mugs Game!!!!

A slow start back this week following my back ache, which I have to report is much better.  This could be to do with a swimming session yesterday (Saturday) with my youngest and has been the best its been all week.
Going back to the start of the week Monday was a quick four mile loop around Andreas, it hurt to be fair my shins were aching and my back was twingy! I did not enjoy the walk at all but when it was over I felt like I had achieved something and that I was starting to get back on the right road as far as training goes.

I have entered numerous competitions during my life and I can honestly say that I have never ever won anything, I also do the lottery every week using the same numbers and can count the number of times I have won £10 on both hands since the lottery began!  I entered a 3FM caption competition on Tuesday and was notified that I had actually won a mug!!!!!  Collecting it I didn't realise that it was a flask mug, very handy for me and will be used daily, Thanks 3FM!!!!!!!!

I was working for the rest of the week so didn't manage to get out for a walk and as the week went on I was feeling more guilty each day with no walking.  It eats at you when your trying to prepare for the Parish, if your not walking, thinking about walking, talking about the Parish or eating / drinking the right things towards a successful entry then you start thinking that you are falling behind in your training!  Its even worse when your driving around any town on the island of an evening and see people out training.

On Saturday I was determined to get out and get going at a decent pace so I went out for the same four mile loop, the walk was pretty uneventful other than the time and speed, it ended up being my fastest four mile loop to date in just over 46 minutes.
Following a bottle of vino on Saturday night I went out on Sunday morning for 7 miles the other favourite loop of mine which was again pretty quick for me, Completed in 1hr 23mins. Again the route was pretty uneventful

Going to play a game of guess where am I, the picture to the right is the first of three the other two underneath are a bit further on in the walk.  Taken this morning and the only clue your getting is that its North!  And no cheating if your my friend on Endomondo / Facebook!!! This should be easy for people from the North and seasoned Parish Walkers.  Answers in my inbox and just for fun no prizes (we're still in a recession!!)

In other news my walking partner and Bezzy mate has officially started his Parish 2013 campaign with a great 5 mile from Ramsey to The Ginger, blistering pace even on that shoddy road / pavement surface.  Its good to see him out and about again and look forward to getting out with him and preparing together for a great Parish Walk.

This weeks efforts ended in 15 miles which isn't too bad, its a good job my Endomondo week starts on  Monday!!

Look a whole blog page without mentioning football results, lets just say Im a happy chap this week with a great win over Forest and glad the Toffees pulled their finger out in the dying seconds against the vile.
Six nations has also started with three absolute cracking games and am looking forward to the rest, next week is divided loyalties but always support green!!!!

So that's it for another week, get that mileage in and keep those legs pumping!!!
KEEP RIGHT ON!!!
